As part of the efforts to enrich the quality of teaching and learning of students, Osun State University has partnered with the University of Gambia.
This is just as the two universities signed a memorandum of understanding to enable staff and students exchange programme.
While receiving the principal officers of the University of Gambia to review their existing relationship, UNIOSUN Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Labode Popoola explained that the officers came to UNIOSUN for a review of an agreement that was signed in 2017 and extension of the agreement based on the fruitfulness of the first agreement.
He noted that “UNIOSUN has witnessed tremendous growth and development in the last four years which wasn’t captured in the original MOU.
“We have incorporated all the new developments in the new MOU and we believe that the partnership between the two Universities will produce series of grants, scholars, physical and infrastructural developments in the two Universities.”
Speaking, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Gambia, Prof Faqir Muhammad Anjum said, “UNIOSUN has made a significant change during the last four years that we visited in 2017 most especially in infrastructure and academic programmes which we believe that The University of the Gambia will benefit from the experiences of the University.”
