Education: Osun SUBEB Boss sues for cordial relationship among principals, teachers

Principals and teachers in Osun State have been urged to maintain a cordial relationship while discharging their duties of diligently impacting qualitative knowledge unto students in the State.

The Executive Chairman, Osun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) Hon. Ajibola Famurewa gave this charge at a 4-day training workshop in Osogbo, the state capital.

The workshop themed, “Teachers Professional Development Leadership” was organised by Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) in collaboration with Osun SUBEB for public school principals and headteachers across the three Senatorial Districts of the State.

Famurewa implored all public school principals and teachers in the state to always lead by example, adding that the Oyetola-led administration is determined to place the education sector on a sound and solid footing to make it an enviable point of attraction among other states in the country.

Hon. Ajibola particularly called for cordiality and robust working relationship between principals and teachers under them for the overall interest of achieving effective teaching and learning environment.

In his words, “Endeavour to form a cordial working synergy. This is for your development which in turn will engender a conducive school learning environment for our children.”

Earlier in his welcome address,  the Secretary, Osun SUBEB, Mr Adeoye Bakare lauded the leadership ingenuity of Governor Oyetola for his approval and support for the training designed to refresh and keep the public school principals and headteachers abreast of their professional callings and development.

Bakare urged all the participants to place a high premium on their duties as well as make judicious use of the knowledge that will be gained at the end of the workshop.
