Edo Govt. debunks alleged disengagement of College of Education staff

Mr Crusoe Osagie, Special Adviser to Gov.Godwin Obaseki of Edo on Media Projects, has described as fake, letters of termination of appointments  handed to some employees of the Edo State College of Education, Igueben.

A statement signed by Osagie and made available to journalists in Benin on Wednesday, urged the general public to disregard the termination notice, as it was null and void.

Osagie said, “The attention of the Edo Government has been drawn to the illegal termination of the appointment of employees of the College of Education in Igueben.

“The general public and anyone who may have received such letters should kindly disregard it.

“The Edo  Government is completely unaware of it and distances itself from such notice.

“All staff of the institution are by this statement,  advised to carry on with their lawful duties.

“This is the handiwork of mischief makers who are trying to stir crisis in the state ahead of Saturday, March 11 House of Assembly election,” he said.
