Edo Assembly fund management bill gets Governor’s assent

The Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki has given his assent to the passage of the Edo Assembly fund management bill into law.

Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chief Blessing Agbebaku made this known during  plenary  on Tuesday.

He revealed that Governor Godwin Obaseki has assented to the Bill, commending Governor Obaseki for his speedy assent to the Bill.

Reacting, some of the lawmakers said the action is worthy of emulation by other governors, adding that pushing for local government autonomy is next on their agenda.

The Edo State House of Assembly fund management bill is also referred to as the autonomy bill of the legislature and judiciary.
