Economic hardship: Ooni urges Nigerians to pray for better times

The Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye OgunwusiOjaja ll, has called on Nigerians to continue praying for the country’s improvement, acknowledging the current challenges.
According to Ooni, we need to continue to pray that things should be better in our country.
Speaking at the commissioning of Ojaja Moore Mall second branch in Osogbo, Osun State capital, Ooni expressed optimism that the current government’s policies led by President Bola Tinubu will yield positive results in the long run despite short-term difficulties.
The monarch advocates for community engagement and private sector-driven initiatives to support youths and promote homemade goods.
He said, “My advice for government is to keep trying their best, but we should try to be patient, we know things are hard but the current government being led by President Bola Tinubu, the policies we know that at the long run it will better for our country but in the short run, it is harsh we know that.
“The CNG initiative is to bring down the cost and trying to distribute CNG buses to students takes a while.
“These are the things we need to do to support the government beyond actually blaming the government, it is global issue there is no place in the world that does not have any challenge, Nigeria is not peculiar case but let us continue to support if truly we love this country in terms of community engagement and private sector level initiatives.
“What is crucial now is for all hands to be on deck in our Nation, we should not leave everything to the government, we should have more community engagement, private sector driven initiatives.
“Even traditional rulers should not be left behind in creating employment, because our country is at a critical stage for us to support the youths and that is the reason behind the expansion of Ojaja Moore.
“Right now in the capital city, we are having branches. This is the second, the first was commissioned about two years ago by the governor of Osun State, Governor AdemolaAdeleke.
“And what we are doing majorly is to drive home made goods that are manufactured in Nigeria and few foreign ones. Yes, we can do it in Nigeria if we are very dedicated and committed.
“This in terms of backward integration, we have a lot of youths that are manufacturing as basic as Yoghurt, biscuits, and many more, you’ll see all those things displayed here,” he said
