Ebonyi Federal Lawmaker celebrates former Gov. Elechi at 80

The Member representing Ezza/Ikwo federal constituency, in the Feferal House of Representatives, Hon. Chinedu Ogah has described the former governor of Ebonyi state, Chief Martin Elechi  as a man whose voice is  so firm and clarion in  making a case for the common man at the grassroots.

Hon. Ogah made this remarks in a birthday message he sent to Chief Elechi on his 80th birthday and made available to journalists in Abakaliki.

He said that Chief Elechi’s  selfless services to humanity, Ebonyians and the nation at large as well as the many achievements he recorded in both personal and public life, were some of the reasons he celebrated him on the occasion of his birthday.

The lawmaker attributed the all-round development of the state to the commitment on all fronts, and the foundation he laid as one of the founding fathers of the state and while serving as the governor.

He prayed that God who has kept him till today would continue to keep him in good health and happiness.

“As you mark your 80th birthday today; I, Hon. (Comrade) Chinedu Ogah  bring you best wishes and good tidings from myself, family and a multitude of constituents of Ezza South/Ikwo Federal Constituency, and all Ebonyi people who are appreciative of your indelible achievements.

“During your time as the governor of Ebonyi State, there was no voice so firm and clarion to make a case of the common man at the grassroots as yours.

“Your selfless services to humanity, Ebonyians and the nation at large as well as the many achievements you have recorded in both personal and public life, are some of the reasons I cannot but celebrate you on this occasion of your birthday.

“Ebonyi State is better today because of your commitment to development on all fronts, and the foundation you laid as one of the founding fathers of the state and while serving as the governor,” he stated.
