Ebonyi Commissioner donates N250,000 to APC members in the state
The Ebonyi Commissioner for Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Ukie Ezeali, has donated N250,000 to All Progressives Congress (APC) members in Itim ward, Afikpo North Local Government Area, Ebonyi.
Ezeali, made the donation on Friday while revalidating his APC membership card, in Afikpo mentioned that the gesture was to encourage massive registration.
Speaking to newsmen in Abuja, the commissioner said that the exercise would enable the party faithful in Itim ward, not to be left out from the numerous goodies from the state government.
“For this donation, N200,000 is meant for the numerous supporters, who do not have passport photographs, to be able to take the passport photographs as it is one of the requirements for the registration,’’ Ezeali said.
He added that the registration officials will use N50,000 out of the amount for their refreshment.
The commissioner expressed happiness over the large turnout of supporters and willing registrants comprising women, men and youths of Afikpo extraction.
Ezeali also lauded Gov. David Umahi for his unprecedented development in the state and the human capacity building of its citizenry.
