The Superintendent, Christ Apostolic Church, Iloro District Coordinating Council (DCC), Pastor Timothy Bakare, has said that there’s power in the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Bakare made the statement during the Easter Sunday Service at Christ Apostolic Church, Oke-Ibukun Iloro District Coordinating Council (DCC), Pedro Street, Ile-Ife.

He said that hadn’t been that Christ resurrected third day after His death on the Cross of Calvary as promised, their faith would have been in vain.

The Chief Priests, Pharisees and Jews thought that Jesus Christ would not resurrect, they made the Romans securities to guard His grave with big stones.

He explained that at midnight, the Angel came and rolled the stone away, the securities had a deep sleep and Jesus arose.

“But alas!, Jesus arose on the third day, the enemies bribed the securities to lie that His disciples came and took His body away.

“Though, the Jews and Pharisees were proclaiming the bad reports within their midst till date.

“Hallelujah! Jesus arose and gives us victory over sins, failure, poverty, barrenness and disappointment among other challenges of life till date”, he stated.

“Anyone that fails to believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ would not be raptured with Him when He comes,” the superintendent maintained.
