To ensure a peaceful Easter celebration, Osun State Police Command has put efforts in place to enhance adequate security.
In a statement issued by the State Police PRO, Opalola Yemisi, the Commissioner of Police, Olawale Olokode, reassured Osun citizens and residents of “adequate and watertight security during this period and beyond at all religious centres, social gatherings, and leisure parks.”
He said, “Criminals are also put on notice that the Police will not condone any person or group of people suspected to be planning criminal acts as anyone found in this act will be dealt with according to the law.”
Olokode further appealed to the public to always give prompt, credible, and useful information to prevent acts of lawlessness and all infractions of the law.
“Members of the public are enjoined to call the following Police Control Room Numbers in case of infractions of the law: 08039537995, 08123823980 and 08075872433,” the CP stated.
He, thereafter, felicitated the Christian faithful and wished them a peaceful Easter celebration, urging them “to adhere strictly to COVID-19 protocols as they celebrate Easter.”
