To provide a conducive and comfortable environment for education, Edulethics Africa said it is ready to educate students from various primary and secondary schools via free e-learning education.
The initiative tagged “edulethics” is an online-based assessment platform that gives students opportunities to learn and win prizes after scoring high grades in exams.
Adetokun Yusuf, Edulethics Africa CEO, made this known during the board members’ meeting in Ibadan.
He said, “Private schools are 100% funded by the owners and get no subvention from the government thereby limiting facilities and infrastructures. 85% of school children never get the opportunity to participate in external educational competitions. 90% of educational competitions in Nigeria are centred on Languages, Mathematics, and Sciences whereby leaving out a lot of students from various disciplines.
“To date, there is no comprehensive database of Nigerian School-age Children.
“This platform will allow all students to register for any subject and participate in the contest free of charge. All students can win prizes, participating schools can win equipment.”
He added that this initiative would reduce the number of school students as education is being brought to their doorsteps free of charge.
“There is a logical link between education and poverty, and it is up to us, not just the government to do something concrete about the education of Nigerian children – Prof. Yemi Osibajo. The words of Vice president is the major reason why we have come together to do something that will safeguard the future of every Nigeria Children” he added.
He revealed that the initiative would also help children who have been looked down on, as according to him, various subjects will be available on the platform for students to access.
The CEO who also revealed that the initiative will benefit children who cannot afford to pay for educational activities assured that by the end of 2022, the amount of out of school children recorded in the nation will reduce drastically.
