DSC Technical High School lights up National Assembly, pay visit to Sen. Omo-Agege

The Delta Steel Company (DSC) Technical High School last weekend paid a courtesy visit to the red chamber of the national assembly to celebrate the newly elected deputy senate president, Sen Ovie Omo-Agege.

During the courtesy visit led by Veteran, British-Trained Scholar in the field of Education, Mrs Uduophori, the Deputy Senate President, Chief Ovie Omo-Agege noted with delight that education still remain one of the most important factor in Life.

While encouraging the students, he noted that there is need to revisit school curriculum to accommodate modern technology.

Also, Omo- Agege made the staff and Students understand that there is much benefits attached to loyalty.

Omo- Agege accompanied by the Honourable Minority Leader, of the House of Representatives, Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, representing Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, Hon. Ejiroghene Waive representing Udu/Ughelli Federal Constituency and Hon. Ben Roland Ibakpa representing Ethiope Constituency expressing his delight, considered the visit a rare visit to commensurate his victory on his election at the Polls and also his emergence as the Deputy Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Speaking at a dinner banquet hosted on behalf of the House of Representatives, Hon. Ndudi Elumelu charged the students to work hard in order to achieve what they desire in life.

As such he made them realize that the best investment they can make in life was to work hard in their studies and they should not be deceived by the notion that certificates no longer mean anything in Nigeria.

More so, the Honourable Member representing Ethiope Federal Constituency , Hon Ben Ibakpa decried the poor state of the Delta Steel Company and maintained that as a lawmaker, he would ensure that the revitalization of Delta Steel Company Ltd is revisited by the Federal Government through the Federal Ministry of Mines and Steel.

Furthermore, he called on the electorate to present their agenda on what they want before their respective representatives and  remind them of the campaign  promises they made before the elections.

At the end of the session, the Vice President of Delta Steel Company (DSC) Technical High School Old Students Association (THSOSA)  Abuja Chapter, Mr Marho Okene representing the Chapter President, Mr Omeiza Dominic,  assisted by the Social/Welfare officer of the Chapter, Faith Osazemwinde and the Public Relations Officer of the Chapter, Joshua Akowien, presented copies of THSOSA Vision as  sourvenirs to the Law maker. A copy of the THSOSA Vision Magazine was also presented to the Deputy Senate President as a souvenir by the Vice President, THSOSA Abuja Chapter, Mr Marho Okene to the admiration of other old students (including Edith Ubini, an Ex-Officio, and Channels TV anchor and presenter of Hard copy, Maupe Ogun-Yusuf).

However, in its visit to the Ajaokuta Steel Plant in Kogi State, Delta Steel Company (DSC) Technical High School noted with delight that the the plant established by the regime of General Olusegun Obasanjo was made of several units, some of which are completed and very operational.

“The steel plant was steadily developed with the vision of erecting a Metallurgical Process Plant cum Engineering Complex with other auxillaries and facilities.

“The completed units of the plant are capable of operating independently, under further investigation revealed to impact the economy positively”, he said
