Drama as residents strip burglars naked in Ekiti

Two suspected burglars who have been allegedly terrorizing Olorunsogo community, Ado-Ekiti have been apprehended on Sunday by members of the community.

The suspected burglars were apprehended after they broke into an uncompleted building in the area and made attempt to cart away the electrical wires and other valuables.

Nigerian NewsDirect gathered that the suspects were pounced upon by the irate residents and stripped naked.

Speaking with our correspodent, the Chairman Olorunsogo Landlord Association, Zone 13, Mr. Oluwasina Rominiyi alleged that the suspects have been terrorizing the community for a while.

According to him, the suspected burglars had successfully burgled many houses in the area before luck ran against them.

He said they were three but one of them escaped.

The chairman affirmed that the suspects in their early twenties came during church hour when they knew people would have gone to church but unfortunately for them a landlord who was working on the building caught them and alerted other members.

Romoniyi said the suspects have been handed over to security agents for further investigation.
