Don’t curse leaders; pray for their success –  Association urges Nigerians

The Eggon Cultural and Development Association (ECDA) has urged Nigerians to pray and support leaders to succeed and bring speedy development to the country.

Mr David Abuluya, ECDA President, made the call on Monday in Nassarawa Eggon when he inaugurated five committees to fast-track development in Eggon Land.

Abuluya said that prayers were key to success and begged Nigerians to always uphold leaders in their prayers.

The president, who is also the proprietor of Nacabs Polytechnic Akwanga, urged the inaugurated committee members to live above board while discharging their duties.

He called on the education committee to ensure the development of Eggon Community Secondary School, Nassarawa Eggon.

“I have decided to come up with the five committees in order to ensure unity, peace, and promote development in our land and the state at large.

“This is imperative because the importance of peace to human and societal development cannot be overemphasised.

“Peace is priceless and non-negotiable, and it is the necessary requirement for the development of any society.

“You are to discharge your duties without fear or favour,” he said.

The Chairman of the Education Community, Prof. Alizaga Salihu, pledged their readiness to live above board while discharging their duties.

He also called on all Eggon and daughters to support them to succeed.

The Newsmen  reports that the five committees inaugurated are Peace and Security, Education Committee, Project and Works Committee, Finance and Endowment Committee, and Ad hoc Committee for the purchase of ECDA vehicles.
