The Executive Chairman Benue State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Comrade Joseph Utse has tasked married  people of the State and Nigeria at large not to allow the interference of a third party in their marriages.

Comrade Utse advised that in order to have a successful marriage, couples should at all times settle their marriage differences internally and always avoid the interference of a  third party in their marriages and by doing so a successful marriage will be experienced.

The Executive Chairman also attributed the success of his traditional marriage to the Executive Governor of Benue State Dr. Samuel Ioraer  Ortom and his amiable wife Dr. Eunice Erdoo Ortom  for the fatherly and motherly role they have played by ensuring that he gets a partner after the death of his wife for the past two years.

Comrade Utse who gave the advice while fielding questions from Nigerian NewDirect correspondents  in Abuja after paying bride price on  his wife Mrs. Grace Mnena Utse in Vandeikya local government area of Benue State, expressed gratitude to Governor Ortom and his amiable wife for personally taking the issue of his marriage to conclusion.

He appreciated the Board Secretary, Directors and management staff who despite their crowded schedules accompanied him to his traditional marriage and prayed God to replenish them abundantly.

“When I lost my wife to the cold hands of death two years ago I was emotionally destabilized, I no longer ate,  I  was  emaciating  on daily basis but now as I have received overwhelming support from friends, associates, well wishers I am becoming fatter on daily basis,” Utse maintained.

Utse explained that it is always good to be good to everybody as exhibited by Governor Ortom to sacrifice his life for the overall good of Benue citizens, and  that him being celebrated across the country today is a total blessing from God worthy of emulation.

Comrade Utse urged Benue people to be patient with them as they can not go for the white wedding now because his wife died in April and his father in-law too coincidentally died in April and have decided to shift their white welding until further notice to enable him and his wife mourn their loved ones.
