Dominican University, NISER sign partnership agreement to boost research development
In a bid to foster academic collaboration and strengthen institutional ties, Dominican University and the Nigerian Institute for Social and Economic Research (NISER) have signed a partnership agreement to promote research and development in the social and economic sectors.
The partnership agreement, which was signed recently, aims to promote interdisciplinary studies, joint research endeavors, and knowledge sharing between the two institutions.
According to the Vice Chancellor of Dominican University, Prof. Jacinta Opara, the partnership is expected to enhance the impact of both institutions on policy formulation and implementation across various sectors.
“We are excited about this partnership and the opportunities it presents for our students and faculty,” Prof. Opara said. “We look forward to working closely with NISER to advance knowledge and promote sustainable development in Nigeria.”
The Director-General of NISER, Prof. Anthonia Taiye Simbine, also expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, noting that it aligns with NISER’s mission to provide information on economic and social ideas that will be pivotal to development in Nigeria.
“This partnership is a significant step forward for both institutions, and we are committed to making it a success,” Prof. Simbine said.
The partnership agreement outlines several areas of collaboration, including joint research projects, internships, faculty exchange programs, and co-hosting of platforms for sharing research results.
Both institutions have committed to maintaining strict confidentiality regarding any sensitive information shared during the collaboration.
