Dominican, South Korean varsity sign MOU on students’ exchange, scholarship opportunity

In a bid to strengthen ties and promote international education, Dominican University, Nigeria, and Kyungdong University, South Korea, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on students’ exchange and scholarship opportunities.

This was contained in a statement released on Monday by Vice Chancellor of Dominican University,  Prof. Jacinta A. Opara.

The MOU, signed on August 5th, 2024, aims to promote collaboration in education and research between the two institutions.

According to the agreement, Kyungdong University will provide scholarship opportunities to Dominican University students to continue their education in South Korea.

“This MOU serves as a written agreement between Kyungdong University and Dominican University concerning the admission and accommodation of Dominican University’s students,” said President of Kyungdong University, Prof. Dr. John Lee.

The agreement also provides for faculty and researcher exchange, joint research, and cooperative projects between the two institutions.

“We are excited about this partnership and the opportunities it brings for our students and faculty,” said Opara

“This collaborative relationship between Dominican University and Kyungdong University would undoubtedly lead to enormous mutual benefits,” she added.
