Defence chief inaugurates new projects at OPSH headquarters

Gen. Lucky Irabor, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), has inaugurated some new projects at the Headquarters of the Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) in Jos.

Inaugurating the projects on Tuesday in Jos, the CDS expressed delight with the projects, adding that they would further boost the morale of troops of the operation.

”These projects will not only boost the morale of troops, but strengthen their commitment to the fight against insecurity in the joint operation area,” he said.

Irabor added that his visit would motivate the personnel and troops across the theatre of operation toward improving their operational effectiveness and professional conduct.

He thanked the giant strides of the commander of OPSH for initaiting the projects and promised to continually improve on the welfare of troops.

Earlier, Maj.-Gen Ibrahim Ali, OPSH Commander, thanked the CDS for the visit, adding that the projects would provide a working environment conducive for troops to carry out their responsibility effectively.

Ali, who doubles as the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Division of the Nigerian Army, Rukuba, near Jos, commended Irabor for his leadership guidance and support toward the actualisation of the projects.

The CDS was accompanied on the visit by Principal Staff Officers from the Defence Headquarters, among other senior military officers.

Newsmen also reports that some of the projects inaugurated include newly constructed entrance road into headquarters, remodeled car park, accommodation and kitchen, among others.
