DeBasco congratulates Abiodun, Sanwo-Olu Olu on re-election victory

A former Federal Board Member, Benin- Owena River Basin Development Authority (BORBDA), Otunba (Dr) Babatunde Onakoya (DeBasco) has  congratulated the  All Progressives Congress candidates, Prince  Dapo Abiodun  of Ogun State  and Babajide- Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State for their re- election.

DaBasco commended Abiodun for his outstanding achievement in the state such as infrastructural development, education, health sector among others.

In his words, “A hearty congratulations to Prince Dapo Abiodun on his re- election today, this is a deserving honour and glory to the All Progressives Congress. He is a governor to be proud of due to his numerous achievements which are unquantifiable.

“There have been lot of goals recorded during his first tenure some of which are: Infrastructural development, education, health sector, social amenities among others.”

In the same vein, he also lauded the Lagos State Governor for his outstanding feat and resilience in the political sector.

He described him as an affable person who meant well for all Lagosians.

“Congratulations to the Lagos State Governor, Babajiide Sanwo-Olu Olu for his re- election. It is a well-deserved victory for him as he has always embarked on priority and life changing projects,” saying it was clear indications that Sanwo-Olu meant well for the people of Lagos State, noting  that the outcome of the elections has clearly shown that Nigerians are still in love with the party.

Meanwhile, both governors were returned as the winner of the March 19, 2023 gubernatorial on Sunday.

Recall that Abiodun polled 276,298 to defeat his closest rivals — Ladi Adebutu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who scored 262,383 as well as Biyi Otegbeye of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) who got 94,754 votes and who has the backing of former governor and serving APC senator, Ibikunle Amosun.

“That Abiodun Adedapo Oluseun of APC, having satisfied the requirements of the law is hereby declared the winner and is returned election,” Adebowale stated.

In the same vein,  Sanwo-Olu scored 762,134 to defeat both the Labour Party (LP) governorship candidates, Rhodes-Vivour, and his counterpart in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran popularly known as Jandor – they polled 312,329 and 62,449 respectively.
