Day 3 ;Protest in Adamawa continue, while Governor Fintiri calls on Tinubu to revise policies

As the nationwide hunger protest, #EndBadGovernance reaches its third day, Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has praised the protesters for their peaceful demonstration in the state.

Speaking to the crowd at Unity Bridge in Yola, the state capital, on Saturday, Governor Fintiri affirmed the citizens’ right to peaceful protest, stating, “In democracy, there is space for people to express their grievances and communicate their concerns to the government, and that’s what you’re doing today.”

Acknowledging the country’s economic difficulties, Governor Fintiri urged the Bola Tinubu-led federal government to urgently revise its welfare policies to alleviate the current hardships. He also appealed for continued peaceful conduct from the protesters and assured them that his government would work within its means to ease the citizens’ suffering.

Governor Fintiri was represented by the Secretary of the State Government, Awwal Tukur.

Earlier, protest leaders Abdullahi Isa and Daniel Godwin outlined their demands, which included the restoration of the fuel subsidy among other issues.
