Dangote Refinery contains fire incident, staff unhurt

Dangote Refinery has successfully contained a minor fire incident at its Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) yesterday.

According to a statement released by Group Chief Branding & Communications Officer, Dangote Industries Limited, Anthony Chiejina, the situation was promptly managed, ensuring the safety of all personnel and the continued operation of the refinery.

The statement read: “We have swiftly contained a minor fire incident at our effluent treatment plant (ETP), today Wednesday 26th of June.

“There is no cause for alarm as the refinery is operating and there is no recorded injury or body harm to any of our staff on duty.”

Dangote Industries Limited reassured the public that the minor incident had no impact on the overall operations of the refinery.
