Cutix appoints Nwokporo as Company Secretary

Cutix Plc, manufacturer of industrial cables, has appointed Mrs Chinwendu Nwokporo as its new Company Secretary, effective March 1.

This is contained in a corporate disclosure released through the Nigerian Exchange Ltd. (NGX) on Thursday.

Chief Executive Officer of Cutix Plc, Ijeoma Oduonye said, “Cutix Plc wishes to notify NGX and the investing public of the change of Ms Augustina Okeke as the Company Secretary.

“Also, the reappointment of Mrs Chinwendu Nwokporo as the new company Secretary effective March 1, 2024.

“Miss Okeke will continue to work in the Secretariat until she completes her retirement notice period, which begins on July 10, 2025.”

Nwokporo graduated from Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri, Imo State in 2005 with HND (Distinction) in Secretarial Administration.

She joined Cutix Plc in 2010 as a clerk in the office of the company secretary and later grew to the position of company secretary in 2018.

She led the company’s acquisition of Adswitch Plc where Cutix Plc acquired over 53 per cent of Adswitch Plc shares in 2020 through Tender Bid Offer which made Adswitch Plc a subsidiary of Cutix Plc.

She is also currently leading the acquisition of the entire shares of Adswitch Plc through Scheme of Arrangement.

In view of the four-year strategy fashioned out in 2021 to internalise an appropriate Manpower Development System that will enable the company meet the demands of the shareholders, Nwokporo served as head of some units of the company.

Units such as Enterprise Assurance, Trade Sales and Anuka Plant (House Wiring Cables Production) while retaining her position as the Company Secretary until Feb. 1, 2024.

At the conclusion of the project in January 2025, she was reappointed the company secretary.

Nwokporo is an associate member, Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN) and a Certified Governance Auditor/Evaluator.

She is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria, Rivers State Chapter.
