Crystal Palace vs Chelsea: Tuchel confirms injury blow, player to miss EPL tie
Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel, has confirmed that Mason Mount has a ligament injury ahead of his side’s Premier League clash with Crystal Palace on Saturday evening.
Tuchel also revealed that Reece James would not feature for Chelsea against Crystal Palace because the 22-year-old has a muscle injury.
According to him, James will rejoin Chelsea’s first-team group next week.
The former Paris Saint-Germain coach said this on Friday during his pre-match press conference.
Tuchel said, “We will push for the League Cup final. We will push. He [Mount] has injured ligaments.
He added, “Reece like always, you have the risk with a physical player like Reece is with a muscle injury there is a delay.
“We are waiting for him. The plan is he rejoins the group next week.”
The kick-off time for Crystal Palace vs Chelsea is 4 pm.
