Crime has reduced drastically in Oworonshoki community — Chief Mayaki
The Baale of Olubori Odunfa Ekore, Oworoshoki, Chief Surajudeen Lasisi Awomade Mayaki, has disclosed that the rate of crime in Oworonshoki community has reduced drastically due to the efforts of security agencies.
He said this on Tuesday while addressing officers of Area ‘H’ Command, Oworonshoki Division.
According to him, cultism was prevalent in the community, but with the help of the police force and Oworonshoki security, the activities of the cultists have been decimated.
In his remarks, Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Oworonshoki, CSP. Oyin Frances, who said the Division has a total of 87 officers, averred that the police have a cordial relationship with the people of the community.
Frances added that the Police Public Relations Committee (PCRC), the Community Development Association (CDA’S), Oworonshoki Security Outfit AKA Madanwo, Lagos Neighborhood security corps (LNSC) and other stakeholders have been complementing the effort of the division in detecting and preventing crime.
