A Member of the House of Representatives representing Ado Odo/Ota Federal constituency, Engr. ‘Tunji Akinosi has said that the well-being and prosperity of the citizens in line with creating equal opportunities by nurturing education growth is a major vision set to be achieved by his administration.
Engr. Akinosi made this disclosure during his opening speech yesterday at the Stakeholders’ Engagement Meeting which took place at Ota Recreation Center.
He urged all stakeholders present to cultivate an environment that encourages open communication and foster an atmosphere of trust.
Some of the stakeholders present at the meeting include: Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Association of Community Phatmacists (ACON), Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) among others.
Akinosi commended the people of Ado Odo/Ota for their great effort during the election process.
He said that he explained the President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed when they met that his constituency gave him the highest votes.
According to him, “When we met with the president of the Federal Republic, I told him that in Yoruba Nation, Ado Odo/Ota gave you the highest votes. We had a better from Alimoso Local Government, but those votes were negative because they lost. The President had 57, 000 vote in Ado Odo/Ota and the person that scored second did not have up to 10, 000.
“So, incredibly we have over 30, 000 positive votes for the president of the Federal Republic and that should be something when it comes to giving back to us what is due to us, that is where we are.”
To complement the issue on Education of indegent raised by the President of National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Engr. Akinosi talked about a girl who expressed her displeasure of being sent away from school due to her parents financial incapability.
In his word, “Education is the basis of everything you want to do in life, we talk about the indigent students, everywhere we went to during campaign, I was particularly impressed with one girl, while everybody were demanding for money, she said, daddy!, I dont need money, I want to go to school, because I’ve been sent away.
“That girl came to the party we had on Saturday, since then, we are elected to take her back to school, pay all the down payment.”
“As we forge an indomitable partnership that fortifies the very fabric of our community, uplifts the spirit of our youth and ensures the all-encompassing betterment of Ado-Odo/Ota Federal
Constituency, let us do so with a sense of shared purpose and a commitment to collective prosperity.
“Together, we can overcome any obstacle, address any challenge, and reach unparalleled height of success and harmonious co-existence.
“May our unity remain steadfast, our resilience unwavering, and our dedication to this noble initiative unyielding.
“For the coming days, weeks, and months, let us seize this opportunity to work hand in hand, journey side by side, to shape a future that embodies the hopes and dreams of every citizen in our beloved Constituency,” he reiterated.
