Ogun State government on Thursday announced the discharge of 11 Covid-19 patients bringing the total discharged patients to 59 while there were also seven new recorded cases of the deadly disease. The total confirmed cases in the state is now 134.
According to statement from S F Ojo, Senior Special Adviser on New Media to Gov Dapo Abiodun, the discharged persons were said to have tested negative twice to the Coronavirus and had since rejoined their families
The statement added that there are currently 70 total active cases that have now been admitted and are being treated in the Isolation Centres in the State.
All close and possible contacts of the 7 patients just confirmed are currently being traced.
- The general public has once again been advised to maintain the social restriction order and hygiene measures recommended by health authorities in order to flatten the curve of this dangerous virus.
