Couple assassinated in Benin

A couple, identified as Mr Okoro Odaro Paul along with his wife, Rose, were found dead in their apartment in Benin City, after being attacked by unknown assailants on July 1st 2023.

The tragic incident, according to sources, occurred at the Okhoro Quarters in the Egor local government area of the state capital at about 11.14pm.

The source said that one of the couple’s apartment windows was forcibly opened by the assailants who shot them and the couple’s lifeless bodies were found in a pool of blood.

The brutal killing was said to have been discovered when anxious neighbours who heard of the shooting went in to check on them the next morning.

Upon arrival and after knocking severally on the main door, the neighbours had to break into the house, revealing the gruesome scene.
