Countries with highest food inflation rate revealed [See list]
Countries with the highest inflation on food items have been ranked.
A recent inflation rate released by the National Bureau of Statistics Consumer Price Index said that Nigeria’s inflation has increased to 22.22 per cent
The World of Statistics in its latest release also ranked Nigeria high, indicating that food inflation in the West African country is at 24.6%.
However, Venezuela is leading the chart of countries being hit by food inflation with 466%, followed by Lebanon at 352%, Argentina, at 115% Zimbabwe, 102% and Iran, 71.5% making up the top five.
