… Give Contractor CGGC ultimatum of two weeks to complete work inline with speculations

Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom has expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of work done on the ongoing construction of the 36 kilometre Igbor-Ikpa–Wannune road at the sum of N2.6billion.
Ortom also directed the road contractor CGGC to as well improve on the standard of part of the road already constructed to meet the contractual agreement and speculations so that the road could stand the taste of time.
The Governor expressed his dissatisfaction and gave the directive while inspecting ongoing road projects in some parts of the State, frowned at the poor job executed by the contractor over seven years without completion.
He revealed that government had paid over 80 percent of the contract sum of the construction of 36 kilometers road project and wonder why the company was unable to complete the project
“A 36 kilometers road construction would not be completed over seven years, the quality of work done already done on part of the road too is poorly done and this will not last for even one year” Ortom stressed.
The Governor also proceeded to inspect some township road construction in Gboko local government township constructed by Hajaig construction company limited as well as the completed Tor Tiv palace by his administration .
The Tiv Paramount ruler Tor Tiv Professor James Ayatse with all the first class Chiefs gave their blessings to the Governor on uncommon leadership posture and prayed that God should give him the divine protection against enemies of the State in which ever form.
