Confusion as Azman Air suspends domestic flight operationsThere is palpable confusion in the aviation industry following the suspension of domestic flight operations by Azman Air.
Checks by journalists on Thursday revealed that Azman Air has not been doing domestic flight operations in the last few weeks.
Speaking to journalists on Thursday, an airport worker who wouldn’t want his name in print explained that many passengers have been confused over the sudden suspension of domestic flight operations by Azman Air.
According to the airport worker, “Many passengers who usually fly Azman Air has been making enquiries over the situation of domestic flight operations with Azman Air.
“Azman Air has not been doing domestic flight operations for some weeks now. There are insinuations that their aircrafts have been tied down by the ongoing Haji operations. Can’t confirm that, but that’s what some people are saying at the airport.
“However, if that is true, then it’s too bad. Why will Azman Air prioritize Haji operations over domestic flight operations?”
When contacted, Spokesman for Azman Air, Alhaji Nuradeen Aliyu, debunked claims that the airline suspended domestic flight operations because of the ongoing Haji operations.
“All our aircrafts that are supposed to be doing domestic flight operations have gone for the mandatory C-Checks.
“That’s why we have stopped domestic flight operations for now. It’s not true that we stopped domestic flight operations because of our Haji operations,” Alhaji Nuradeen Aliyu said on Thursday.
