Christmas: Tinubu’s wife gifts 1,000 bags of rice to vulnerable Christians in Bauchi

Nigeria’s First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu has gifted 1,000 bags of 25kg rice for Christmas to the vulnerable groups within the Christian Community in Bauchi state.
The Bauchi State Chairman of the Northern Nigeria Christian Political Forum, Mr. Ayuba Umar Yelwa, while distributing the rice to various local government coordinators on Monday, said that the Northern Nigeria Christians would celebrate Christmas in joy amid biting hardship in the country.
Yelwa said that Tinubu’s wife whom he said is sensitive to the plight of many Nigerians decided to assuage the pains of Christians to have a joyful celebration amidst rising inflation.
“Every other state in the 19 Northern states was given a similar donation, this is done for us to enjoy Christmas celebration. We will be sharing the items with the most vulnerable groups, widows and the poor of the poorest in the communities. We have our local government coordinators who have identified the beneficiaries.
“The sharing would be concluded today Monday before Christmas and we have instructed the local government coordinators to give us the reports of the grassroot distributions latest next week,” he said.
