Champions League: Mesut Ozil names his best XI, includes Haaland, Mbappe

Former Real Madrid and Arsenal playmaker, Mesut Ozil has named his dream UEFA Champions League best XI.

In a tweet via his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Ozil included the likes of Manchester City’s Erling Haaland and Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe in the list.

The former Germany international also included the likes of Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, Sevilla’s Ivan Rakitic and Manchester City’s Rodri in his team.

News Men reports that this season’s Champions League will start on Tuesday night with the first round of group matches.

Revealing his Champions League best XI, the former footballer wrote: “My @ChampionsLeague season 2023/24 dream team. The best XI.”

Here is Ozil’s best XI:

Forwards: Mbappe and Haaland.

Midfielders: Leroy Sane, Saka, Eduardo Camavinga, Rodri and Iva Rakitic.

Defenders: Ruben Dias, Sergio Ramos, Antonio Rudiger.

Goalkeeper: Manuel Neuer.
