CEOAFRICA boss honoured at AU meeting

The Global African Shores of African-Union Diaspora has honoured the Managing Director, CEOAFRICA , Mr Sunday Cletus Ilobanafor with a life time award for his contribution to the socioeconomic development of the Pan African society.

According to a statement made available to newsmen, Mr Ilobanafor was said to have been presented with the award during the just concluded Roundtable Conference of African in Diaspora of the African Union held at Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

CEOAFRICA is a multimedia company that is devoted to telling stories of innovation and economic prosperity as well as unfolding development in Africa.

The African in Diaspora considered to be the sixth region of African Union gathered from May 23- 28 for a Roundtable discussion on where they are and then came up with resolutions that could further enhance African prosperity.

According to the statement, the presentation of recognition award was part of highlights marking the rounding off of the colourful event.

The African Union attributed the award giving to commitment and dedication
of the worthy ambassadors to their well-meaning contributions and services.

“The official mandate of the summit: Global Pan Africa Root – Synergy Roundtable, is a bold call to an action plan of connecting and linking African continent to the African Diaspora across the world for cooperation and building a better Africa.

“This year’s Addis Ababa summit is to commemorate the 10th year historic declaration which adopted the African Union-African in Diaspora as the Sixth Region.

“While congratulating the Managing Director and CEOAFRICA for the honour well deserved, the management and staff of the organisation also gratefully thank the organisers of the event for the distinct recognition.

The CEOAFRICA boss appreciated the organisers for the award, saying that it would spur the media outfit to do more for the progress and development of Africa.

It would be recalled that a decade ago, the West Indies, Latin America, and South
America; Heads of State, Governments and various representatives from
the African Diaspora met at Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa during
the Declaration of Global African Diaspora Summit to brainstorm on
possible ways to develop an integrated, prosperous, and peaceful Africa,
driven by its own citizens and representing a dynamic force in the
global arena.

This year’s Addis Ababa summit is therefore to commemorate
the 10th year historic declaration which adopted the African
Union-African in Diaspora at the sixth Region.
