Centre for Human Security & Dialogue to host colloquium for Obasanjo’s 84th birthday
The Centre for human security & dialogue and Olusegun Obasanjo presidential library & Africa Progress Group is set to host international colloquium for Chief Olusegun Obasanjo (baba of Africa) as he marks his 84th birthday.
The international colloquium taking place on Friday in Abeokuta, Ogun state, is expected to commence between 9:00am and and 12 noon.
Topic for international colloquium is: “Reflections on governance and changes for Post Pandemic Leadership in Africa. (How will the pandemic shape the economy politics, security and socio-cultural development of Africa nations and what governance models are needed to cope with the impact?)”
Speakers across all Africa are expected to grace the event, and it is expected to be hosted via zoom with few guests at the event centre at auditorium, OOPL, Abeokuta.
The speakers are, Commissioner for Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, African Union Commission, Addis Ababa, H.E Progressor Sarah Agbor; President of Progressive Africa Network, Moussa Kondo; President, Afreximbank, H.E. Professor Benedict Oramah; University of Burundi and former Director, UNESCO, Professor Juma Shabani and Professional Fellow of Economics and Public Policy at Oxford and former senior adviser to the Blair Commission for Africa, Professor Paul Collier
Others are Director, The Brenthurst Foundation, South Africa, Dr. Greg Mills and Singapore’s representative to ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights and Chairman of the board of Governors of Singapore Technologies Marine, Ambassador Barry Desker.
