Car refurbishing loan: Osun public servants hail Oyetola, call for expansion of scheme

Public Servants in Osun State have hailed Governor Adegboyega Oyetola for resuscitating the car refurbishing loan scheme for the benefit of workers in the state after many years of abandonment.

A cross section of the workers who spoke with journalists at the state government secretariat described the step by the Governor as another show of his magnanimity which he has always shown to the workers in the state Civic Service.

They added that the move by the Governor has again demonstrated that the state helmsman is worker friendly and is ready to always attend to the welfare of workers even before they agitate for such.

The workers who did not want their names in print for official reasons said the car refurbishing loan is a fund that has over the years assisted public servants to achieve things their monthly salaries cannot afford at a time.

A staff of  Osun State Hospitals Management Board, who was obviously excited, said she could not believe her ears when she heard the news over radio until she saw the application form for herself, commending the Governor for resuscitating the loan scheme even at a time when the economy is harsh.

Another worker in the Teaching Service who was seen filling the application form for the loan within the State Secretariat advised the state government to put in more money into the loan account to enable more public servants benefit from it.

It will be recalled that the administration of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola recently resuscitated the car refurbishing loan for the benefit of various categories of workers in the public service as promised during his electioneering campaign to see to the welfare of workers.

The application form for the loan has since been made available for purchase with a free of N1,000 as the government has promised that the list of successful applicants in the first batch will be made public before the end of the year.
