Kaduna State Government led by Gov. Uba Sani, has constituted a committee to determine the status of the ongoing capital projects spread across 23 Local Government Areas of the State as inherited from the immediate past administration of Mallam Nasir El-Rufai.
The Chief Press Secretary to the State Governor, Muhammad Lawal Shehu in a press statement made available to Journalists in Kaduna on Monday, said the committee has four weeks from the inaugural meeting to submit its report.
Lawal, who said the Committee will be chaired by the Special Adviser to Mr Governor on Investment & Promotion, Sabiu Sani said they are also to look into those projects in the pipeline – all in line with the government’s commitment to speedily complete all priority projects in the State before embarking on new ones.
He further stressed that, the committee has the mandate to get the details of contractual agreements/obligations, find out the funding arrangements and commitments of parties, find out the completion period of the projects and come up with specific recommendations on each project.
Other members of the Committee are Special Adviser, Project Monitoring, Implementation and Result Delivery, Dr. Abdullahi B. Ahmed (Member); Special Adviser, Legal, Dr. Mustapha Musa (Member); Special Adviser, Research, Documentation & Strategy, Fabian Okoye (Member).
Others are Special Adviser, Economic Matters Ibrahim T. Muhammad (Member); Special Adviser, Peace and Conflict Resolution, Atiku Sankey (Member); and Larai Ishaku while Senior Special Assistant, ICT, Shuaibu Kabir Bello is to serve Committee’s Secretary.
