The Secretary NBA Yola, Gabriel Adigwu has described CAC’s new policy on data protection as worthy applause adding that the Customers were more than ever before guaranteed of the safety of their companies.
In its continued bid to improve the Commission’s services particularly to ensure that State offices operate at par with the Head office and to ensure that Customers fully understand the workings of the Companies Registration Portal CRP, the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), has held Stakeholders Fora in Yola and Damaturu.
Speaking at the end of the event in Yola some participants had applauded the Commission for organizing the forum which they described as hugely enlightening and therefore urged the CAC to sustain the tempo.
Barr. Adigwu described the policy as a direct measure introduced at a time when activities of fraudsters were on the rise.
The fora covering Adamawa, Yobe and Borno States was in accordance with the Registrar General’s earlier commitment to keep Customers abreast with developments around the Commission and to further improve user ability on the Companies Registration Portal (CRP).
The CAC Scribe, Alhaji Garba Abubakar represented by Othman Audu said in view of the challenges, the upgraded CRP may pose to some of the Customers, the Commission in collaboration with the CRP Software developer, OASIS MANAGEMENT COMPANY LTD decided organize the one-day sensitization in each of the three states earlier mentioned.
Othman Audu therefore reiterated the Registrar General’s earlier commitment to ensure that customers were adequately sensitized on the workings of the upgraded registration module and to provide services in line with global best practices.
Other participants also commended the Registrar General for the digitization efforts and urged the Commission to redouble its efforts in the area of sensitization.
