Protesters call for review of anti masses policies by Tinubu

The commencement of protests in Osun State has led to a significant disruption in business activities with many enterprises forced to shut down temporarily.

All the busy roads in the state capital were occupied by protesters, chatting anti governments songs as some shopping complex and shops remain closed.

The protesters, in their numbers stormed the streets of Osogbo, Osun state capital, carrying placards with various inscriptions such as “Let End Bad Governance”, “Subside Thieves Must Be Prosecuted”, “We Want Food Price Control With Immediate Effect” among others.

Speaking to newsmen during the protest the Coordinator of the coalition of Concern Nigeria Citizens in Osun, Comrade Ajala Adetunji called on President Bola Tinubu to review the policies affecting the masses.

Adetunji charged the Federal government to return the old price of petrol by consider the widespread of suffering in the country.

He urged the president town I review all policies that are negatively impacting on the masses.

According to him, “The youths population is the largest population and they are the one suffering most, the office of the citizens is the highest office in the land, what we are here to do is to exercise our right according to the constitution of Nigeria.

“We are here to establish what we are passing through, petrol price is N800 today and what we are passing through in this country is affecting everyone.

“What we are saying is that President Bola Tinubu should review the policies the petrol price should go back N187 people are suffering.

“And what we are saying is that all the policies that affecting the masses the president should look at it and review it.

“Some people are patronizing government against the people God will judge them.

Also speaking, the spokesperson of the organizers of the protest, Comrade Segun Oyewale charged the security personnel on professional.

He said, “We are here to conduct ourselves peacefully and not to attack any security personnel

“I can assure Nigerians that this demonstration is going to be peaceful in the state as we will continue to engage our people. Only the enemy of the state that wiill come out for a demonstration like this and vandalize properties.
