Buhari renews, appoints MDs for some River Basin Dev’t Authority

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the renewal and appointment of nine Managing Directors (MDs) and one Executive Director (ED) for some of the River Basin Development Authorities, according to a recent press release from the Director of Information, Federal Ministry of Water Resources, Mrs Kenechukwu Offie.
The MDs whose appointments were renewed for a second and final term, according to the release are: Prof. Abdulkarim Muhammad Ali, for Upper Niger River Basin Development Authority, Minna; Dr. Adeniyi Saheed Aremu, Lower Niger River Basin Development Authority, Ilorin and; Engr. Saliu O. Ahmed, Benin-Owena River Basin Development Authority, Benin City.
Others, the release went on are: Engr. Muhammad Adra, for Lower Benue River Basin Development Authority, Makurdi; Mr. Olufemi Olayemi Odumosu, Ogun Osun River Basin Development Authority, Abeokuta; Engr. Bassey E. Nkposong, Cross River Basin Development Authority, Calabar; and; Engr. Buhari Bature Mohammed, for Sokoto Rima River Basin Development Authority, Sokoto.
The MDs on first term appointments are: Ma’amun Da’u Aliyu, for Hadejia Jama’are River Basin Development Authority, Kano and; Mark Daso Darefaka, for Niger Delta Basin Development Authority, Port Harcourt.
President Buhari also approved the appointment of Mr. Aminu Abba as ED, Agricultural Services, Hadejia Jama’are River Basin Development Authority, Kano.
