The Executive Chairman Ojokoro Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Hon. Hammed Idowu D. Tijani (HID) has assured the good people of Ojokoro of fair distribution of the dividend of democracy as he calls for the Year 2022 Budget Conception Meeting targeted at ensuring the council have a realistic and achievable budget for the forthcoming year.
The meeting was to ensure the council’s Year 2022 Budgets is in conformity with the international politics and policies that affects the world economy which affects are not going to exempt the council in the nearest time to come.
In his words, “in order to ensure that our people enjoy good dividends of democracy, we need to make sure that we put adequate measures in place by forecasting visible and realistic developments in every sector of governance”, HID Tijani said.
He opined that the council must consider the global determinants to have a realistic budget.
In the same vein, the Council-Manager, Mr. Adebola Adeyemi noted that what is done by the council is largely influenced by the international policies which affect all nations of the world.
“Our activities must be revenue-driven. We depend largely on federal government allocation and it’s time to shift from this and focus more on revenue generation to assist our project’s funding”, Adebola concluded.
Present at the meeting is the Vice-chairman of the council, Hon. Oladipo Coker, all members of the Legislative Arm of the council ably led by the Leader of the House, Hon. Tunde Oyekunle, Mr. Adebola Adeyemi; the council-manager led the entire management and staff to the Year 2022 Budget Conception Meeting.
