Bruno Fernandes is “the boss again” at Manchester United after Cristiano Ronaldo’s exit – Evra
Manchester United legend Patrice Evra has said that Bruno has returned to his position as the boss at Manchester United following Cristiano Ronaldo’s exit.
Evra now sees Fernandes as the talisman and main man at Old Trafford, a natural shift to Ronaldo following his arrival from Juventus in the summer of 2021.
Ronaldo’s contract at Old Trafford was terminated in November, shortly before the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
That was after the Portugal legend granted an explosive interview to Piers Morgan, a veteran British journalist wherein he criticised the club’s hierarchy, manager, owners and even his fellow players.
Ronaldo and Fernandes shared the responsibility for taking penalties at the club and the midfielder happened to miss two of his efforts and moved down the pecking order.
And now Evra seems delighted that the Portuguese attacking midfielder is now the main man again.
“Bruno Fernandes has to be the main man and you can feel it now Ronaldo is not here anymore and you can feel that he is the boss again,” Evra said, according to Goal.
“He is the one taking the free kicks, the one taking the corner kicks and I am sorry, that is what Bruno Fernandes needs.”
