… hosts Women Empowerment Program
Blessed Fellowship, Nigeria has called for the need to empower more women in the society.
This was made known by the founder and CEO,Lady Evangelist Oluwafunmilayo Adegbasote Adeboye during it’s training and seminar held with the theme “Overcoming Women Challenges,the way forward”on Saturday,29th of June,2024 at Ebute-metta, Lagos .
The seminar which included various topics which pertained to women were coordinated by various facilitators such as the founder herself, Lady Evangelist Oluwafunmilayo Adegbasote Adeboye, Evangelist Jesutola Christiana,Pst Kuforiji Folorunsho and Mrs Temitope Adetayo for the empowerment session.
Aspects discussed were the challenges women face in marriages,challenges faced by the youths and teenagers, dealing with stubbornness of men in marriage,the need for financial independence and the power of a woman in it’s entirety.
The fellowship which kickstarted two years ago in Ikare Akoko aims at empowering others into financial independence. The motto of the fellowship ;”guided by faith,driven by love” has helped equip many women to diversify into various businesses.The vision is to reach far and wide and empower both genders
The CEO and Founder,Lady Evangelist Oluwafunmilayo Adegbasote Adeboye in her words expressed that she had experienced many women carrying the burdens of their families with their small scale businesses which would not be enough to cater for their families nor support their husbands. This helped the decision to empower them to multitask and have multiple sources of income in order to make ends meet.
Also,this extends to young ladies who have got big dreams but no helpers,many of these ladies fall into traps and wrong counsels in their bid to find greener pastures.With the empowerment,the women will be able to make items, market,sell,re-sell and make profits.
However,she solicited for support as the burdens get expanded daily and the need to reach more people increases.
Juice making,air fresheners, yoghurt making, Anointing oil,body and soap perfume,insecticides, herbal balms,anti -stress soaps,stretch mark cream,custard making etc are all available to be taught as long as the women are willing to learn.
“Let’s say we targeted Forty-five people to assist,we see more than forty five people there. When we have supporters,we will be able to reach more people.” She said.
She noted that every support and collaborations are welcome. Blessed fellowship still continues to set up trainings and seminars in various constituents as enabled by God.
