Bisexuality: Adebayo Adebolu Christopher declared wanted by Nigeria Police

One Adebayo Adebolu Christopher, a 38 year old, male, Nigerian, has been declared wanted by the Nigeria Police over alleged involvement in bisexuality and inappropriate affairs with his gay partner, Abidakun Emmanuel, a 34-year-old man.

This followed the confession made by his accomplice Abidakun Emmanuel who was arrested at a wedding conducted in Point 1 Hotel and Suite, Owo, Ondo State, on September 25, 2019, upon interrogation by the Nigeria Police.

Abidakun confessed to the act — he was placed on condition to be released if he can help to get Adebolu arrested.

A source furtively and undisclosed the information about the incident, who pleaded anonymity affirmed that Abidakun Emmanuel who lived in Oludaye Street, Owo, Ondo State practises bisexuality with his partner Adebayo Adebolu to the Nigeria Police.

Consequently, upon this confession, the Police stormed Adebayo Adebolu Christopher’s residence at 76, Isale Agbara Street, Ile-Ife, Osun State for his arrest only to learn that he had travelled to an undisclosed location.

Reacting to this, the community leader and the youths of the community where he lived saw it as a bad omen capable of bringing retrospect and evil into the community and vowed that he, Adebayo Adebolu Christopher would pay dearly for the offence he committed to serve as a deterrent to any youth who may have such “evil” act.

However, on December 16, 2019, while Adebayo Adebolu was celebrating his birthday with his partner, Abidakun Emmanuel, and other LGBTQ colleagues at Joybam Hotel, located behind Liberty Stadium in Ibadan, Oyo State.

Tragically, the celebration was cut short when a bullet, unintentionally discharged by the Nigerian police, struck and killed Abidakun Emmanuel while making effort to get Adebayo Adebolu arrested. Efforts are currently ongoing to get Adebayo Adebolu arrested to face the consequences of the law on the allegation of bisexuality.

The Police, therefore, have urged member of the public to report the whereabout of Adebayo Adebolu to the nearest Police Station for arrest and prosecution as bisexuality is against the law and attracts up to 14 years imprisonment and death by stoning in the Northern part of the country where Sharia Law is prevalent.
