Big Sam, Big Impact: Documentary on Dr Ibiyemi premieres

A documentary on the life and impact of the Founding Publisher   of Nigerian NewsDirect, Dr Samuel Ibiyemi has premiered on social media platform, YouTube.

The documentary which was shot by Tunnels Studios features members of the family, Group CEO of Century Group, Mr Ken Etete, Group Managing Director of Techno Oil Limited, Mrs Nkechi Obi, amongst others.

“The choice of the name, ‘Big Sam, Big Impact’ was inspired after hearing a series of testimonies from industry colleagues and members of the community where my Dad lived.

“We decided to document some of the testimonies of my Dad’s impact on the lives of the people who crossed his path and his immediate community. The testimonies are a lot so we opted to preserve some of this memories to honour the legacy he left behind,”   Mathew Ibiyemi, the Chairman of the Funeral Planning Committee said.

“Though, Dr Ibiyemi was with us for a brief stint of 55 years, he made a thousand years impact on lives and this will never be forgotten.”

“I hope that whenever anyone gets to watch this documentary they will be inspired to do better in their service to humanity and to God.” He emphasized.
