Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has re-appointed his former Chief Press Secretary, Terver Akase as Special Adviser.
Akase who resigned his position as CPS in September 2021 to focus on his 2023 governorship ambition, confirmed the development in a chat with DAILY POST.
It was gathered that the Benue State House of Assembly approved his appointment on Thursday last week.
It was recalled that Mr. Akase who joined the governorship race on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP stepped down for the consensus candidate of the party.
The zoning arrangement was not favourable to him as the state’s PDP leaders and stakeholders from the 14 Tiv speaking Local Government Areas zoned the ticket to Jechira block where he hails from but the micro zoning of that position did not favour his aspiration.
The governor subsequently promised to re-absorb his appointees who resigned to vie for elective positions but were not favoured by the party’s zoning arrangement.
