Benue takes delivery of COVID-19 Vaccines

Benue State government has received the delivery of 50,000 doses of COVID-19 Vaccines to vaccinate the people of the State.
The Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism Mrs. Ngunan Addingi disclosed this to Journalists on Tuesday shortly after the State Executive Council meeting at Government House Makurdi.
She also stated that Council has reaffirmed its commitment to the implementation of the ten percent monthly pensions contribution for civil servants in the state.
She explained that the ratification and commencement of the monthly remittances was the bold move by the Ortom administration to permanently address the issue of pensions in the state.
She further disclosed that Council also approved the participation of Benue State in the Nigeria COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus, (NG-CARES), programme.
Mrs. Addingi also announced that Council approved the formal transfer of ownership of the defunct Lobi Bank building in Makurdi belonging to the Benue Investment and Property Company,( BIPC) to the Benue Internal Revenue Service,( BIRS,) as the revenue agency’s permanent headquarters.
