Benue State Police Command: New Commissioner of Police resumes duty

The new Commissioner of Police CP Akingbola O. Olatunji has resumed duty on Wednesday 11th day of August,2021 as the the new posted Commissioner of Police, Benue State Command.
In a Press release signed by the Police Public Relations Officer DSP Anene Sewuese Catherine for the Commissioner and made available to Nigerian NewDirect, the Command wish the general public to take note.
The release stated that CP Olatunji took over from CP Audu Madaki who was recently promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of police (AIG) and posted to Zone 12 Bauchi State.
The release further revealed that the CP was appointed a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of police on 15th March, 1988 and has held several strategic positions that cut across all the departments in the Nigeria Police Force.
The strategic positions according to the release include;
Divisional Police Officer in many Divisions within Lagos Command.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Field studies, Staff College, Jos.
ACP. Federal Sars Force CIID, Abuja
ACP. Federal Sars Force CIID Annex, Lagos.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP ), Administration, Force CIID, Abuja.
DCP Administration, Ogun State Police Command
Notably, DCP Operations, Benue State Command
DCP International Criminal Police Organisation (Interpol) Force CIID Annex, Lagos.
Commandant Detective College, Enugu.
Until his posting to Benue state command, he was the Quarter Master General of the Force.
He is a Fellow, Institute of Security Studies, Member Nigerian Institute of Management and Associate Member, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations Practitioners.
The new CP holds a Bachelor degree in Political Science, Masters degree in Political science and another Masters degree in Peace and Security Studies.
He also holds in high esteem professional global standards of policing in accordance with the laws. He is diligent in carrying out his duties.
