Benue Gov’s visit: Speaker hails traders for closing shops in solidarity

The Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Hyacinth Aondona Dajoh has commended all the traders operating at the Gboko main market for ensuring the closure of their shops for many hours as a mark of honor to welcome the Governor of the state Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia(The OHITTY OF BENUE MASSES) to Gboko local government area of the state.

The Speaker who is also the vice chairman north central, conference of Speakers of state Legislatures of Nigeria also appreciated the various roles played by various unions like Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Benue Motorcycle Hirers Association (BEMOA), Nigeria Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), WPA and other groups of Associations present.

Hon. Dajoh gave the commendation in Gboko during the thank you tour of the governor across the state to appreciate Benue masses for the overwhelming support and victory in 2023 governorship polls.

“The traders of Gboko Main market who closed their shops for many hours just to welcome our governor; I am grateful. I am also appreciative of various unions like NULGE, NUT, BEMOA, NURTW, WPA, various groups and associations that were present.

“I am glad to welcome many people who defected from other political parties to the original All Progressives Congress, APC. You will have no reason to regret your action.”. Dajoh stressed.

The Atonko Mbatiav explained that the massive crowd that thronged out and from the various voices of speakers on the event, the amiable governor remain admirable, loved and deeply cherished and reassured His Excellency of constant support of the good and peace loving people of Jemgbagh.

“I want to sincerely thank the governor for coming to thank us. His ‘Thank You’ visit further demonstrates his genuine interest in the welfare of the Benue masses. For the ongoing projects; we say thank you Father. For the promise of more; we say thank you too.” He stated.
