Bello pledges more support to military in fight against insecurity

Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Malam Muhammad Musa Bello, has pledged the support of the FCT Administration to security agencies in their duty of securing the nation’s capital.

In yesterday’s press release from Anthony Ogunleye to this media organisation, the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the Minister, Malam Bello made the pledge at a courtesy call on him by a delegation from the Army Headquarters Garrison, Abuja, led by its new Commander, Major General Ayuba Ted Hamman.

Lauding the synergy amongst the various security agencies in the FCT, he attributed the relative peace enjoyed in the Territory to the coordinated work of the security personnel, just as he commended the new Garrison Commander for efforts being made to rid the FCT of terror threats, praying for success in his Tour of Duty as the new Garrison Commander.

Earlier, Major General Hamman hailed the Minister for the great work he has been doing in spreading development to all parts of the FCT, describing him as a silent achiever, worthy of emulation. He however appreciated the Minister for his support to the Nigerian Army and for promoting synergy among security agencies, especially through the regular security meetings as well as the provision of logistics when the need arises.

Present at the meeting were the Permanent Secretary, FCTA Mr Olusade Adesola, Chief of Staff to the FCT Minister, Malam Bashir Mai-Bornu, the Director, Security Services, Alhaji Adamu Gwary, the Deputy Director Public Relations Army HQ Garrison Col. Omale OchaGwuba and other management staff of the FCTA and the Army Headquarters Garrison.
