Be wary of liars, vote APC — Sanwo-Olu tells Lagosians
…Takes campaign to Lagos East
…Discloses commissioning of Imota Rice Mill set for January 2023, Buhari as SGH

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has called on residents of the State to be wary of politicians, brandishing lies to them to curry their votes.
Sanwo-Olu urged Lagosians on Tuesday at the APC Gubernatorial Campaign, Lagos East Senatorial District Mega Rally, in Ikorodu.
Sanwo-Olu said his Administration has done justice to the Lagos East Senatorial District with the citing of iconic projects which include the Imota Rice Mill, Regional Road, Lekki Deep Sea Port, key market projects, among others, situated within the district.
He called on residents of the State within the Ikorodu Division and the Lagos East Senatorial District, to do justice with their franchise by voting for the right candidates.
He appealed to them to avoid opposition actors he described as “liars,” but they should rather vote all candidates of the party in the contested seats open for the 2023 election.
“Don’t let them lie to you, it is APC. Vote for all our candidates for the governorship election, all our candidates for the House of Representatives, Senate, House of Assembly and the Presidential seats,” Sanwo-Olu said.
He assured the residents of the senatorial district of continuity and more commitment to complete all projects undergoing execution.
This is just as Sanwo-Olu has disclosed that the long awaited Imota Rice Mill is billed to be commissioned in January.
He disclosed President Muhammadu Buhari has been billed as special guest of honour to commission the largest mill in Africa and the third largest mill in the world, upon commissioning.
The Imota Rice Mill is situated on a 22 hectares land mass, with the mill itself occupying 8.5 hectares.
The rice mill has a capacity to produce 2.8 million baags of 50kg bags of rice yearly, while generating 1,500 direct jobs and 254,000 indirect jobs.
On completion, in line with the estimated installed infrastructure of the facility, the production capacity of the Imota Rice Mill will set it among the largest in the world, and the largest in sub-Saharan Africa.
It is an integrated mill with two warehouses and 16 silos (each with a capacity of 2,500 tonnes, 25 metres high, 40-year life).
The mill operates in two lines that receive, pre-clean, boil, dry, sort, hull, polish and bag the rice.
