The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress  (APC) in Ogun State Prince ( Dr) Dapo Abiodun has urged members  and candidates for various elective positions during the 2019 general election to be steadfast, attend all meetings and campaign rallies.

The Director General Dapo Abiodun Campaign Organisation Chief Segun Adesegun said in a congratulatory message sent to all members of the party  of Ogun State Chapter and  candidates that have emerged to  remain very steadfast to the ideals of the party and its promotion, in order to ensure total victory in the general elections.

This, he said should be the focus despite some complaints, wrangling and disagreements after party primaries and reports of the Appeal Committees.

“This is an indication that our party is not only the ruling party, but also very  popular; and that, for all the aspirants, the party ticket is like a sure bet to the desired offices, he assured members.

Adesegun described as unfortunate the call by anyone or group, that party members, for any reason whatsoever, should decamp to another hurriedly-put-together party or parties. This call according to him by those clamouring for such self-serving moves have benefitted immensely from APC. “The anti-party move is an ill wind that will not blow any party member any good,” he noted.

Governor Ibikunle Amosun had promised to work against the guber candidate of APC PRINCE Dapo Abiodun and gave support to  his preferred guber candidate Hon Akinlade and 20 aggrieved House of Assembly aspirants who defected to the Allied People’s Movement ( APM).

He  reiterated that  the gubernatorial candidate of APC Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun  will run an inclusive, participatory  and all-embracing government starting from the electioneering. “We call on our members to keep the hope alive. Our victory at the polls is certain by the grace of God and it will be a victory for all, not just a few. The National Working Committee (NWC), of our great  party has set up reconciliation committee to address genuine grievances so that all ranks can be closed. We stand by the NWC on this and our candidate has already embraced the move,” he said.

Chief Adesegun urged members not to allow themselves to be cajoled, coerced or intimated.

He gave the assurance that the party under the disciplined leadership of  President Muhammadu Buhari and Comrade Adams Oshiomhole will protect the interests of every member and shield them from victimization from any quarter, no matter how highly placed. “Let us be focused on promoting the cardinal agenda of the party and the unique selling points of our governorship and other candidates,  for total victory during the coming elections. We must work for the party to win all the offices it is contesting for at all levels,” he suggested.

Now that the needless protracted wrangling over the primaries is over, he said that Dapo Abiodun Campaign Organisation will intensify the campaign activities and unveil the programmes and policies that will address the challenges confronting our Dear Ogun State and enhance the welfare of the citizenry.

“There is strength in unity. Together we shall overcome,” he assured.
